Characteristics of Hagi ware
Hagi ware is pottery that makes the most of the earthenware, and because the clay is highly fire-resistant, it does not harden easily and is permeable. As a result, tea stains and other stains soak into the pottery as it is used, causing the color to change. This is what is known as the "Seven Changes of Hagi," and is the charm of Hagi ware.

The pottery studio of Tounomori is located at the foot of Mt. Tadoko in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, a production area of Hagi ware with a history of about 400 years. With the theme of "Hagi ware tableware for everyday use that can be enjoyed casually in daily life," we create warm and familiar Hagi ware tableware.
